Mahindra Auto is back at it with another concept that’s got people talking. They’ve dropped a fresh teaser of the Vision.T, a new concept vehicle that’s all set to break cover on August 15, 2025. The teaser image is simple but says a lot. Shot from an eagle’s view, it gives us a peek at the bonnet and the overall boxy shape. From that alone, it’s easy to tell Mahindra wants to keep that rugged DNA alive.
Many believe this Vision.T could be the next step for the Thar.e. If you remember, the Thar.e was Mahindra’s electric off-road concept first shown in 2023. The Vision.T seems to build on that idea but pushes it closer to reality. It still has that chunky, bold feel, but there’s a sense that Mahindra is moving it closer to a production-ready look.
What The Teaser Hints At
Look closer and you’ll notice a few standout elements. The wheel arches look wider than before, giving the SUV a beefier stance. Then there are those block pattern tyres. They scream off-road. Details like these show that Mahindra wants this concept to stay true to its adventurous roots.
The earlier Thar.e had a few trademark features. It had square headlamps tucked neatly into a faux grille and matching tail lamps at the back. The wheelbase sat somewhere between 2,775 mm and 2,975 mm, which made it practical yet capable. While Mahindra hasn’t confirmed exact dimensions for the Vision.T, it’s safe to expect some tweaks to make it more road-ready without losing its wild side.
Platform And Big Reveal
The old Thar.e sat on Mahindra’s INGLO platform, which also supports the BE 6 and XEV 9e electric SUVs. For the Vision.T, Mahindra might use a tweaked version of this same base. A modified INGLO could mean better range, new tech inside, and maybe improved driving dynamics too.
This isn’t a one-car show either. The Vision.T will be part of Mahindra’s big “Freedom_NU” showcase. On August 15, they plan to pull the wraps off multiple concept vehicles and maybe even a fresh vehicle platform. Expect to see both petrol-diesel options and pure EVs sharing the spotlight. Looks like Mahindra’s not just dreaming big — they’re ready to build big too.
